Vasavi Celebrates Traditional Day

In general, Traditional Day is observed as a celebration of  India’s diverse culture, and is usually a relaxed day at work. It’s a day designated for people to come in a traditional attire from their home state, or specific culture of their choice. This year Traditional day, a pre Euphoria event of  Vasavi College of Engineering  was celebrated  on  2nd of this month and the response was simply amazing with nearly 90% of the students and the staff turning up in traditional attires, representing different cultures. Students went on an easy walk with the faculty, creating waves of colours across the campus.

The JC BOSE block of the college was chosen as the venue for their enjoyment. The entire block was arranged carefully by keeping the comfort of the audience in mind. The venue was decorated with colourful dancing lights. All in all, the environment was perfect where anybody could forget all their troubles and enjoy themselves.

The Theme ballet people gave a wonderful dance performance to encourage the audience participation. Followed by all the fourth year students rocking the stage by foot tapping numbers and enthralling the audience with their performance. Right after that the most awaited ‘Mr. and Ms. Desi competition’ was conducted. Many students from different branches participated in this competition. The winners of the competition were Mr. Chanar Rao from ECE and Ms.Oshin from EEE. Later on there was a flow of DJ songs where every student of the college tapped their foot with joy. Finally the day ended with the “Dandiya”, where the students danced to the famous dandiya  tracks being played by a student of the college. Overall, it was a great success and it definitely strengthened the bonds among the Vasavians.
