Making time when you think you’ve got none

In a day and age when time is more than just hours and minutes and more of a valuable that is once lost, lost forever is becoming very hard to manage.Today our birthday wishes have reduced to text wishes, profile picture changes to the person’s picture whose birthday it is and gifting is done using e-gifts and e-cards. Sure today even those are heart-warming and received gratefully especially when that’s the best one can receive in a workaholic life.
But it’s bad. Really bad. I imagine those days before competition, money, fame became more important to social gatherings(not on FB ) like weekend barbeque, movie outing, Sunday brunches, picnics that happened often, like real often. I don’t know about others, but imagining all of those we don’t do anymore makes me feel so peaceful even if I’m not doing them anymore. But feeling isn’t enough. Doing is.
Let’s forget about all kinds of people who fall into the busy, workaholic category. Consider us students.
How many of us really chill and enjoy weekends with people and our environment? How many of us do something charitable, innovative, cultural these days? A handful do what I mentioned. We are so bogged down by assignments, projects, exams, record work, that time for the “entertainment” is very little or almost non-existent.
I can’t promise a way to run away from all of this. But I can afford to offer some way out to relax and balance them. Considering the season being exam season these are a few stuff I shortlisted that one can do to de-stress while you’re at it.
**Disclaimer: Switch of the mobile data or WI-FI on any electronic device you use before proceeding further**
1.Put aside “ALL” your work for a while and just breathe in.
Treat yourself by grabbing some good food (good defined based on your choice).
Listen to music and take a stroll outside your house (most helpful).
4.Stop whatsapping or hike-ing etc. and finding out how much your friends have studied. Don’t allow your mind to be stressed at least for a while.
5.If there is some topic or news you’ve wanted to know more about, now’s the time to get browsing and learning new things.
6.If you can afford some more time than you can usually, cook something on your own (maggi counts too).
7.Lastly, Switch on your WI-FI or mobile data and ping all your concerned loved ones that you weren’t dead all this while but you were just chilling like never before.
Happy relaxing and all the best to everyone and anyone with exams. Remember you’re not alone. 🙂
